Mayor Byron Brown was joined by Local Pro Bono Lawyers to announce that this week is Pro-Bono Week in Buffalo, which recognizes all the Attorneys who have provided Pro-Bono Legal Services to Low-Income people in the area.

Pro-Bono Week has been celebrated & recognized Nationally for 7 Years with organization like The Volunteer Lawyers Project helping individuals through issues such as divorce or unemployment.

According to the Buffalo News, Robert Elardo, Volunteer Lawyers Project managing attorney, was quoted as saying

"the organization has represented over 3,600 low income people with important legal problems; 2,200 of those problems we obtained assistance from pro bono lawyers to provide that help."
