It's been four years since we last heard from R&B crooner Mario. The Baltimore native makes a triumphant return with his sure-fire banger 'Somebody Else' featuring an impressive guest verse from Nicki Minaj.

Produced by Polow Da Don, the single boasts crashing drums, orchestral violins and sampled vocals. The track has that oomph that is sorely missing in today's R&B game.

On this fantastic song, Mario is a jilted boyfriend who's heartbroken over his girl leaving him for another man.

"I never saw the day coming that you would ever want to leave me / Baby, you told me no matter what, that your heart would always be for me / Always be for me yeah, baby," he sings.

Minaj plays the role of the former lover who explains why she dumped him.

"How would you have learned if I ain't leave / I guess I was way too naive / I should've been checked you / But I let you get mad disrespectful," she spits. "You couldn't be serious (was you?) / Looking at my new man, wish it was you / But you dead now / Sign of the cross on your chest and head now."

Heartbreak never sounded this good.

Mario is currently working on his new album called 'Restoration,' which is expected to drop later this year. You can cop the single via iTunes on Tuesday (May 21).

Welcome back, Mario!
