Mariah Carey Surprises Family With “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”

Pop superstar Mariah Carey delivered some very good news to a Florida resident earlier this week.  MTV News is reporting that the singer stopped by Baker High School on Monday to tell cheerleading coach Finis Gaston that he will be the newest recipient of a new house on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."  Following the announcement Carey tweeted, quote, "So amazing down here@ Baker HS w/Extreme Home makeover! Loving Ty, Michael, Tracy, Johnny-all the kids@the school+the Gaston family."  Finis Gaston and his nieces and nephews will head to Disney World for a vacation while Heritage Homes of Mobile, Alabama prepares his new home.  Gaston's episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will air on ABC on December 12th.
Mariah Carey is currently preparing to release her holiday album, "Merry Christmas To You," which is due in stores November 2nd.  The record's first single, "Oh Santa!," arrived at iTunes last week.
