Leland Burks, 55, allegedly stole approximately $12,710 in fraudulently obtained goods and services.

In 2015, Burks allegedly used stolen credit card numbers to purchase tickets to the Kevin Hart show at the First Niagara Center. He also allegedly posed as a member of Kevin Hart's entourage and booked hotel rooms in the city of Buffalo, which were also paid for with stolen credit card numbers.

Burke has been arraigned before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case on an indictment charging him with two counts of Identity Theft in the First Degree and one count of Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree, according to a press release from the office of Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr.

Burks had to be extradited from the state of Alabama, where he just finished serving a sentence.

Burks pleaded not guilty at arraignment and was remanded to jail.

If convicted of these charges, he faces a mandatory state prison sentence, the maximum of which is seven to 14 years.
