Michael Austin of Buffalo is accused of engaging in multiple acts of rape with a victim who is less than 16-years-old over a six month time frame, according to a press release from the office of Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr.

Austin was arraigned on four counts of Rape in the Second Degree, two counts of Rape in the Third Degree and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia

The 52-year-old pleaded not guilty. Justice Buscaglia set bail in the amount of $250,000 cash or bond.

If convicted of the charges, Austin faces a maximum of 36 years in prison.
