Most of us in the African-American community has that family member that just refuses to go to the doctor for whatever reason. But the time has come for us all to begin to realize that in order to have a more fulfilling and healthier life we have to go to the doctor for annual check-ups and other ailments that may occur in our lives.

As someone who has had a family member make the transition because of his colon cancer, I now make it a point to go and get checked out because I want to be around as long as possible for my family and you should too.
