There’s word that Lionel Ritchie is working on new music.  He’s going back to his country roots. His new album Tuskegee features duets with some of country music’s leading artists.

The veteran singer, songwriter and record producer will debut several songs from the album when he appears on the upcoming Country Music Association Awards. Richie will be performing some of his classics with the help of Little Big Town, Darius Rucker and Rascal Flatts. The CMA Awards will air live on ABC on November 9 at 8 pm.

According to OnTheRedCarpet.com. Richie said he was born and raised in Tuskegee, Alabama. He says he’s a country boy and proud of it.  To do the project, just felt natural.
