The guy who shot through airport security yesterday in LA is a self proclaimed "Pissed off Patriot" who feels his rights are being trampled on by TSA Agents.

The shooter, identified by the FBI as 23-year-old Paul Ciancia, pulled an assault rifle from a bag and blasted his way past airport security, killing a TSA agent and wounding several others, said Los Angeles World Airports Police Chief Patrick Gannon.

Paul's dad called Police on Friday asking them to go check on his son. The father was concerned after his other son revealed some texts from Paul suggesting that he was about to take his own life.

Officers went to Paul Ciancia's apartment in Los Angeles before the shooting and talked to his roommates who said: "He was a really nice guy, a little introverted."

But a note and other evidence at the airport revealed possible motives for his shooting rampage at LAX airport Friday morning. Officials found a one page note apparently wrote by the shooter, expressed his "disappointment in the government" and claimed he had no interest in harming "innocent people" but "wanted to kill TSA (Transport Security Administration) and pigs".

According to the note, Paul Ciancia believed his constitutional rights were being violated by TSA searches and he was upset at former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The note also revealed that he expected to die at the hands of Police for his actions. In the suicide note, he calls himself a "Pissed off Patriot" and signed off with the letters “NWO”.

The shooter, Paul Ciancia was shot four times by airport Police in the leg, face and chest and is hospitalized in critical condition.

TSA Officer Gerardo I. Hernandez, 39, was killed in the rampage. Hernandez was the first agent to die in the line of duty in the TSA’s 12-year history.
