After three long years, K. Dot's fans can finally rejoice. The "i" rhymer revealed the release date, cover art and title of his highly anticipated sophomore album, To Pimp a Butterfly. The Top Dawg Entertainment official promo takeover begins with the release of Kendrick Lamar’s March Rolling Stone cover.

The cover, shot in Hollywood, features Kendrick with longer hair. A woman braids his hair as he looks intensely into the camera. When the rapper first entered the music industry, he rocked a high-top fade. He's changed since his early days, during the Grammy-nominated album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, in 2013.

Terrence "Punch" Henderson, the president of TDE, says the woman braiding Kendrick's hair is Iggy Azalea. He shared the news on Twitter with a few laughs accompanying the tweets. A joke perhaps?

Kendrick, who recently won his first two Grammy Awards (remember that snub for Best Rap Album in 2014) focuses on “coming to terms with the streets that made him” in the interview.

“You take a black kid out of Compton and put him in the limelight, and you find answers about yourself you never knew you were searching for,” he tells Rolling Stone. “There’s some stuff in there, man. It’s a roller coaster. It builds.”

"The Blacker the Berry” rhymer reportedly played six tracks off the new album, which the magazine characterized as “intensely personal to the swaggeringly aggressive.” But for those looking for an explanation regarding the album title, they'll have to wait. "That will be taught in college courses someday,” K.Dot foreshadowed.

The March issue hits stands on Friday (March 13) followed by his To Pimp a Butterfly LP on Mar. 23.
