The Topps Company's long running Garbage Pail Kids series has dipped into the music world. A run of Grammy-inspired Garbage Pail Kids cards called The Shammys were released digitally earlier this week and will now be getting a print run.

The cards features nine musical acts and hip-hop's presence is felt with three of those cards. Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West are among the artists who have been transformed into Garbage Pail Kids as part of the Shammys release. The other artists featured are Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Pink, Lady Gaga, Sia, Justin Bieber and the late Glenn Frey of The Eagles.

Each artist is featured in two versions of the card. Kendrick Lamar's cards are titled "Can't Lose Kendrick" and "Leapin' Lamar." Nicki Minaj's version is "No Twerk Nicki" and "Anna Conda." As for Kanye West, his cards have been dubbed "Kanye Pest" and "Welcome West."

This music inspired series of Garbage Pail Kids cards were released as digital exclusives that coincided with the Grammy Awards ceremony. The cards were only available for 24 hours and wrapped up their sales yesterday (Feb. 16). But the successful sales dictated the release of physical copies for the cards as Topps announced a print run today (Feb. 17).

For Kendrick Lamar, being featured as a Garbage Pail Kid is a unique way to add to his successful night at the Grammys. The Compton rapper delivered a show stealing performance during the ceremony and picked up five Grammy Awards of his own, though he did not capture the Album of the Year as he hoped.
