Kanye West Charged With Battery in July Paparazzo Case

Criminal battery. That's the charge that has landed on Kanye West's doorstep stemming from his July skirmish with a paparazzo at LAX. 'Ye and the snapper tussled at the airport and now it's a big legal mess for Yeezus Christ. Every day he's tusslin'.

The photog kept asking the rapper questions as he was making his way out of LAX. West was in no mood and he had issued a prior edict warning the paps not to talk to him. This pap did not heed that request and kept pressing West. Ballsy of him, right?

Yeezy was clearly not amused and in a foul mood, told the photographer not to talk to him, and next thing you know, they were tangling in what was more of a physical confrontation than a fight.

The shooter eventually went to the hospital and has now filed a lawsuit. He even hired notorious celeb attorney Gloria Allred to handle his case. She says that her client was badly injured, although we recalled that it looked like a girl fight, without any real punches thrown, but hey, we weren't there. Yeezy is staring down a pair of misdemeanors. If convicted, he faces a year in jail, max, although celebs usually serve like three minutes of their sentences due to jail crowding issues. Still, we can't imagine that this isn't a headache for the new father.

West is slated for arraignment on Oct. 10, so says TMZ. His tour kicks off in October so this is so not what 'Ye needs.
