Early this week the entire Townsquare Media stations including WBLK showed our support to the tragedy that took place in Newtown, Conn. at Sandy Hook elementary School and had the Buffalo community sign a card and we send it to them.  While at work one my co-worker introduced me to the 26 Acts of Kindness.

The 26 Acts of Kindness was created after the Newtown's heartbreak which had a lot of us asking, "What can I do?" Thinking about this, News Anchor on NBC by the name of Ann Curry took to social media and asked people to imagine what would happen if all of us committed to 26 acts of kindness to honor each life lost in Newtown. After the tweet went out The 26 Acts of Kindness began! Thousands of people have tweeted and instagramed back to her about things they've done. Some of these things include  donating trees, delivering meals, anonymously leaving money for a co-worker who's struggling, helping a stranger who's short on cash in the check-out line. Also I have heard that people have been paying for someone else meals at the drive thru and so many other thoughtful acts..

I know there are individuals including myself that do these kind of things on a regular but lets give that extra push and be an example to encourage others to show love and and spread kindness!  Are you in?
