Cam'ron set the rap world ablaze when he gave fans his version of the history of his problems with Jim Jones, a rapper he made millions with in Dipset's heyday.

One of the more shocking revelations from his live Instagram session was that he'd actually copyrighted ByrdGang—a group originally composed of Jones, Max B and Stack Bundles—without Jimmy's knowledge. Predictably, folks have had a good deal to say about Cam's action. One of those "folks" is Joe Budden, who said he would have fought the Killa Season rapper if he were in Jim Jones' position.

During an episode of his I'll Name This Podcast Later podcast, Budden opened up by saying he'd be cool with joking around, but that Killa Cam crossed the line when he copyrighted his friend's idea.

“Dog, when he said, ‘You told me you wasn’t doin’ nothing with ByrdGang, so I copyrighted it,’ I would’ve fucked him up, immediately!” Budden said, quite emphatically. “I’m fucking you up, I don’t care if you’re my brother. I don’t understand that.”

Predictably, Cam'ron responded with humor and a healthy dose of dismissiveness, screenshotting a text message he sent to the "Pump It Up" rapper and putting it up on his Instagram briefly before taking it down.

In the text Cam added a link to a website that wrote about Budden's claim that he'd fight the Dipset boss and wrote, "U can try to fuck me up now if u want.. 😘 where u at?"

Cam captioned his post, "Somebody wake Joey up..Cause he ain't gonna open my Dm...Despite what people think..I got genuine love for capo. We know each other's families.. it would never go there (not on my end)..but u..U can't afford these problems..U think Ransom was at your door."

However, in a very responsible move, Killa Cam apologized to Budden on Instagram a short time later, captioning a post, "My apologies to joe just spoke to him..I jumped da gun.. My bad.. Brah Much love to u and the misses." Gotta love it.

You can hear what Budden had to say about the orginal situation in the video below, beginning at the five minute mark. You can see Cam'Ron's subsequent responses below that.
