The onset of August means that summer is coming to a close and so Jeezy has snapped into action early, taking time this past Sunday (July 31) to help some students in his hometown of Atlanta with some back-to-school shopping. In coordination with his Street Dreamz Foundation, Jeezy organized to donate 2,500 backpacks filled with school supplies to be be distributed to students at local Atlanta elementary schools in the coming weeks.

Photos from the Backpack Blessings Back-To School Drive can be seen above and below, with Jeezy posting the moment of purchase to Instagram. Also participating was Lil Jon, Shanti Das and her Hip Hop Professional Foundation, Hot 107.9 Atlanta and Walmart, where it appears the shopping took place. Jeezy and Jon each purchased 1,000 backpacks with the remainder of the donations coming from sponsors and local participants.

Back in December, T.I. showed up at two Atlanta Walmarts, paying for the Christmas presents single mothers were hoping to give to their children. Along with 2 Chainz, who has a number of charitable acts to his name as well, the three have continued to give back to Atlanta, with Jeezy, who's wearing a baseball shirt in the photos, stepping up to bat this weekend.

Jeezy and 2 Chainz hooked up with another A-Town rapper in June with their Future collab "Magic City Monday," produced by D. Rich. Earlier that month, Jeezy had treated himself as well with a new house in his hometown.
