This afternoon, Billionaire Donald Trump and Buffalo Mayor Bryon Brown teamed up to honor Darnell Barton for his inspirational lesson to the world last week when he prevented a mentally distraught woman from jumping off of an overpass of the 198. Story Here

In a proclamation ceremony this afternoon, Mayor Brown declared Thursday, November 7th as ‘Darnell Barton Day’ in the City of Buffalo. Kimberley Minkel, the Executive Director of the NFTA stood with Mr Barton as he accepted the honor.

Mayor Brown also presented a letter from Donald Trump and a check in the amount of $10,000 which Trump tweeted that he would send. And Sure enough, days later, Trump called City Hall and requested the Mayor present this gift of appreciation.

During the ceremony, Darnell said the first thing he will do with the money is hire his wife as his CEO!
He has heard from people from as far away as Japan who were inspired by his actions, but still he refuses to take all the credit. He told the crowd "behind every great man is a great team" and gave thanks to the other good Samaritans who assisted in the rescue of the young lady.
