Is your child...or are YOU...contemplating playing football this season?

Well we're approaching the football season again, and there are any number of youth ready, willing, and amped about participating. However, there is new evidence within the past 3 or 4 years that substantiates the claim that playing football is strongly associated with concussion and brain the extent that there is now a specific name attributed to brain injury due to playing football-type sports, called acronym for Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.

CTE is a progressive degenerative disease of the brain found in athletes (and others) with a history of repetitive brain trauma, including symptomatic concussions as well as asymptomatic sub-concussive hits to the head.
