Is Rachel Jeantel’s Testimony A Help Or A Hindrance At The George Zimmerman Murder Trial?

The last person to speak with Trayvon Martin on the evening of February 26, 2012, RACHEL JEANTEL, took the stand yesterday. Some are embarrassed by her appearance and testimony...others are PRAISING her "KEEPIN' IT REALNESS"!!!! You can JUDGE for yourself by examining the information prepared for your viewing below.

Before you go any further, I have to ask you to REALIZE SOMETHING about this entire Trayvon Martin tragedy. It's UNFORTUNATE that George Zimmerman is who he is and used stereotypical views to justify suspecting, following and killing Trayvon Martin...but there's an even MORE DISTURBING AND RELEVANT MISFORTUNE which, in MY OPINION, the African-American/Black community MUST BEGIN TO ADDRESS VERY AGGRESSIVELY -- and that is THE BLEAK FUTURE OF THE BLACK RACE...based on THE CURRENT GENERATION OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN YOUTH!

As I browsed the Internet this morning to develop this BLOG...I was FLOORED, SHOCKED, EMBARRASSED and ENLIGHTENED by what I saw and found on Rachel Jeantel's Facebook page and on another site...the pictures in Trayvon Martin's phone of himself and pictures of GUNS!!!!

I IMMEDIATELY thought of the WBLK "KNOW THYSELF CAMPAIGN"...which seems geared to positively influence and specifically impact the youth (in my opinion)...but are they paying any attention?  Buffalo has an EMBARRASSING 47 percent graduation rate; Rochester is even worse at 43 percent!!!!!  Social media use among primarily Black youth is INUNDATED with WorldStarHipHop FIGHT VIDEOS!

Social media has become an UNCONTROLLABLE AVENUE OF NEGATIVE INFLUENCE.  It's even evident in the blogs I post. When I post blogs regarding CONTROVERSY, FIGHTING, CRIME, SEX, CELEBRITY GOSSIP...those blogs ALWAYS generate the most "views"...but let me post a blog about a teen...or anyone for that matter...having positive influence...or a blog regarding a social concern...PEOPLE ARE NOT INTERESTED!

It's a SAD DAY when a trial the MAGNITUDE of a George Zimmerman murder trial could possibly be tainted not only by the NEGATIVE IMAGES PROMOTED ONLINE but also by the POSSIBLY VALID EXCUSE THAT GEORGE ZIMMERMAN HAD A "REASON" TO FEAR FOR HIS LIFE AND THUS DEFENDED HIMSELF AGAINST A "RUNAWAY SOCIETY OF YOUNG PEOPLE DRIVEN BY WHAT THEY ARE ALLOWED TO POST AND SEE DAILY VIA SOCIAL MEDIA!

The NEGATIVE influences of social media... be it a cell phone, Facebook, Twitter, etc....WILL NOT BE ON TRIAL for the next few days or weeks. It will be a man and a boy...both influenced by this medium...one possibly attempting to re-enact what he's seen his peers do online...and the other Ironically attempting to protect himself from those very influences.

The following are all aspects of the George Zimmerman trial that have been influenced by social media and the internet...to the extent that it is NOW becoming a teaching tool....RAISING A GENERATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE ON ITS OWN...OVERPOWERING ANY PARENTAL INFLUENCE WHATSOEVER...unless you're a parent who NIPS IT IN THE BUD BEFORE IT ADOPTS YOUR CHILD...as it seemingly has done in the CASE BEING TRIED relative to the death of Trayvon Martin!!!
