Today’s entry into the "Bonus Beats Thursday-Remake Retake" was originally done by Gloria Gaynor back in 1979. In fact, the song was so popular then, that it reached the #4 position on Billboards R&B Chart and #1 on the Pop Chart and achieved platinum success.

Then in 1996, Chantay Savage did a version of this classic song that also did very well on the R&B Chart and was certified gold that same year.
