Hundreds of Buffalonians and Western New Yorkers gathered in Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo to honor and remember the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting that took place over the weekend.

Mayor Byron Brown as well as County Executive Mark Poloncarz and other officials attended the vigil, which was hosted by the Western New York Pride Center.

The shooting, which took place Sunday morning, is now classified as the most deadly mass shooting in U.S. history.
