Grammy Winner, Jennifer Hudson on Witness List for Trial Involving Family

In late 2010 a brutal murder occurred in Chicago, IL. The victims were the mother, brother and 7 year old nephew of singing sensation Jennifer Hudson. Since, William Balfour has been charged with the murders and is set to stand trial which has been scheduled for April 1^st, 2012.  It has been reported that Hudson may be on the witness list for the trial although it hasn’t been revealed if she will testify as of yet.

Jennifer Hudson was one of the finalists on American Idol’s third season in 2004. She furthered her career with her film debut in the 2006 movie Dreamgirls which earned her several awards including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe Award. In 2008 she won a Grammy Award for her debut self-entitled album.
