Gigi’s restaurant will reopen soon in the new Northland Workforce Training Center on Northland Avenue in Buffalo.

It closed because of a fire in it’s East Ferry street location three years ago.

A grant from the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation allowed restaurant operators to re-build.

Darryl Harvin has been in charge of the re-launch of his mother, Gigi’s restaurant.

It will still have about 80 percent of the original offerings, but with the new open, it hopes to expand the menu.

The space has about 30 additional seats, a new patio for warmer weather, and it will add live music entertainment at times.
