Jabberwock Facts

BACKGROUND:
Based upon the Jabberwocky character in Lewis Carroll’s classic: Alice in Wonderland, the Jabberwock Program was conceived in 1925 by a Delta in the Iota Chapter in Boston, MA. Since then, it has become a signature program for Delta chapters all over the country. Like the Lewis Carroll’s Jabberwocky, each Delta Jabberwock Program is reflective of the community being served. The Buffalo Alumnae Chapter program is multi-faceted. It includes…

1. a 9-month developmental program for young ladies in grades 9-12 (September – May);
2. who are also participating in a contest to raise funds for the chapter’s College Scholarship Program; and,
3. a showcase of various community talents.

The contestant who raises that most money for our College Scholarship Program will be crowned Miss Jabberwock 2016.
