Lil Wayne apologized for his controversial lyrics on Future's song "Karate Chop", but that didn't stop Emmett Till's family from continuing their protests against Lil Wayne. As a result, Mountain Dew went ahead and dropped Weezy from his endorsement deal earlier this month.

Future called into Big Boy's Neighborhood on Power 106 LA and spoke on the situation.

According to him, Weezy helped bring light to Till in a positive way, and because of the song, most of the younger generation got to know about him and the tragedy that happened in 1955 when he was beaten to death for whistling at a white woman in Mississippi.

I think these rappers are beginning to think we are as stupid as the music they make! He does raise a point -- I'm sure more younger people know about Emmett Till now. However, I don't know if Wayne brought Till to attention in a positive light -- most people see it as a joke now.
