Today’s 1 Hit Wonder @ 1 were a Funk group from Minneapolis that released the song “Funkytown” back  in 1980 that held the #2 position for 5 consecutive weeks on the R&B chart and was #1 on the Pop Chart and went on to become certified platinum.

This was a big record in the club and is very much timeless today.
