French Montana is really putting his money where his mouth is when it comes to giving back. For his latest philanthropic effort, he has partnered with the criminal justice reform organization Mass Bail Out and has already helped free one person from incarceration.

The "No Stylist" rapper revealed his plans on Tuesday (Oct. 9) via Instagram. French posted a photo of himself and members of his Coke Boyz crew outside of the Vernon C. Bain prison in the Bronx, N.Y. In the caption, he spelled out his reason for being there.

"Today I’m joining the @massbailout - a historic effort to free women and children who are jailed simply because they’re too poor to afford bail," he typed. "Today I came home to the Bronx and posted bail for someone who should have never been caged in the first place. Thank you to @glblctzn, @rfkhumanrights, @revolveimpact all the grassroots, Black led groups who have been using bail as a tool for liberation for decades. Poverty is not a crime. Pre-trial detention is the real threat to public safety. www.massbailout.com."

French was later interviewed by TMZ and asked about his reason for getting behind the movement. "I just feel like, it's not a crime to be in poverty," he said. "I feel like you should never be guilty until innocent."

French is no stranger to giving back. In March, he opened the Suubi "Hope" Health Center, a previously-struggling maternity and children's health clinic in Uganda that can now serve up to 300,000 patients.

In August, he revealed the video for the Adam Levine-assisted "Famous (Remix)." Proceeds from downloads of the track go to the Suubi Center.
