Rapper Flo Rida brought his addictive urban energy to the stage on the season finale of ‘The Voice‘ this evening, May 8. He performed a medley of ‘Whistle,’ which was the live performance debut of the song, as well as the hit ‘Wild Ones,’ with rocker and Team Cee Lo finalist Juliet Simms. It was a live, onstage collision of rap and rock that was completely and utterly believable.

Flo got the party started while flanked by some scantily clad honies. By the time Simms joined him, the crowd was jumping, Flo was bouncing and so was Simms. If you are ever in a bad mood or at a party that sucks, just turn on a Flo record and spirits will immediately be lifted.

The rapper performed like it was his headline show, not a short but sweet guest spot on a reality talent competition. He worked it and had everybody grooving.

Simms also demonstrated her ability to cross over into other genres without pigeonholing herself as “the rock chick.” It should bode well for her in her career whether or not she wins the season!

Flo looked pretty smashing in a black leather vest and pants, too.

In other Flo news, the rapper will drop his new album ‘Wild Ones’ on July 3, which he revealed in the social media room after his perf.
