The Flatbush Zombies drop a new promo for their debut album 3001: A Laced Odyssey.

In it, the trio, comprised of Meechy Darko, Juice and Erick “Arc” Elliott, each have face time with the camera explaining some aspect of being a rapper, from reading crazy comments from fans and haters, to dealing with outside perception from family members to getting validation from the outside world.

Between the talking, clips are sliced in from their raucous stage performances. If you know anything about their sets, you know they are totally bananas. In one shot Meechy does a backflick off the stage into a sea of humanity. In another shot, the crew moshes on another level with a myriad of absolutely lit fans.

After years putting it down on the underground scene, the FBZ released their debut LP 3001: A Laced Odyssey. Prior to that the group built a substantial buzz with two mixtapes, D.R.U.G.Z. in 2012, BetterOffDead in 2013 and the EP Clockwork Indigo with The Underachievers in 2014.

The trio is currently on break from their tour which will resume at the end of the month. The Brooklyn natives will be on the road throughout the month of April and the majority of May hitting up cities like Boston, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Portland, Orlando, Atlanta and New York.
