First Student Appointed To The Buffalo Board Of Education

The first student to ever be appointed to the Buffalo Board of Education Stephon M. Wright was sworn in recently to this newly created post. Stephon is a senior at Emerson High School and his appointment to the board will address some of the issues and challenges that the students in the area face on a daily  basis  and their efforts to step up to those challenges.

I applaud the board for giving those who are affected by the educational system the most a voice in recommending some changes to the system.

But will having a student on the board really change things with the Buffalo Public Schools? What are your thoughts on what the board has done and will it make a difference in your opinion?
