While surfacing the internet last night, I came across a TED Talk that really interested me. It was by science writer Annie Murphy Paul.  She talked about fetal origins. Paul starting the talk with a pop quiz: When does learning begin? Answer: Before we are born.

She talked about life as a fetus in the womb. It’s a critical learning process. What happens during the nine months has an impact on the child for life. It’s called fetal origins. She asserts that the nine months of gestation constitute the most consequential period of our lives.  What happens during that time has an impact on the wiring of our brain and even our organs.  It was good stuff.

For all the pregnant women out there, think about it.  Try not to get upset, reduce your stress level and have your baby in mind in whatever you do.
