Clifford Hall will spend half of 2014 behind bars for doing too much for his son.

...after overpaying child support and seeing his son too often. No, that was not a typo. He pays his child support and visits regularly.

"I'm his father it's my responsibility to take care of him," Hall said.

Last November, his child support payments were paid in full. Sometime between then and now, the child support agreement between Hall and his wife was modified without his knowledge.

He overpaid by $3,000, and part of the modifications of his agreement were his visitation times and hours. All changed without his knowledge. The judge found him in contempt of court and sentenced him to six months in jail.

"I can't be there for my son in jail," Hall said. "I can't pay child support in jail. This is not in the best interest of the child," he told Fox 29. Hall's attorney is now working on an appeal. Hall says that in a few days, he will turn himself in to the jail.

This sounds like another case of "Judges Gone Wild". If you catch a judge on the wrong day, they are willing to sentence you to anything. I hope this gets overturned. What sense does it make to put a working single father in jail? This is a waste of tax money putting this man in jail -- then he will probably lose his job, then the cycle continues.
