Eminem Speaks On Being Sober At The Grammy’s

From allhiphop.com, Congrats to rapper Eminem who maintained his commitment to sobriety last night by donning a necklace with a pendant that featured the “Sobriety Circle and Triangle” used by Alcoholics Anonymous.
According to reports the charm the rapper wore during his Grammy performance represents unity, recovery and service to combat the three-part disease of alcoholism: Physical, mental and spiritual. The circle represents wholeness or oneness, as the person battles his or her way back to sobriety. Em said in a recent interview “It’s no secret I had a drug problem, if I was to give you a number of Vicodin I would actually take in a day? Anywhere between 10 to 20. Valium, Ambien, the numbers got so high I don’t even know what I was taking.” Eminem says he’s been sober for almost three years now and even revealed that his journey into sobriety has helped him begin to understand the strained relationship with his mother, Eminem goes on to say, “It never once hit me that drug addiction runs in my family,” Eminem said. “Now that I understand that I’m an addict, I definitely have compassion for my mother. I get it.”
