Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson was admitted to LeHigh Valley Hospital to undergo more test after having a convulsive seizure during training camp. It happened during a morning session.

The seizure lasted about 4 minutes. Team officials don’t know what caused the seizure. Doctors have ruled out bleeding on the brain but dehydration has not.  His wife was with him by the afternoon.

According to cargarysun.com, Patterson is doing fine. His agent, J.R. Rickert says that he’s “alert, in no pain and doing well.”

Patterson is entering his seventh season with the Eagles.  He was a first round draft pick in the 2005 draft out of USC.
