After months of build-up, pop-up shops and teasers from the studio, Drake’s newest album, Viewsofficially dropped today (April 29) on Apple Music and iTunes. What a time.

Prior to the album's official release, Drizzy sat down with Beats 1's Zane Lowe for an official catch-up last night (April 28) to talk about all things Cash Money, touring and Views.

The 6ix God gave insight as to how certain tracks came together and explained that he tried to capture sounds of the season of his hometown. Drake describes the flow of the tracks as "winter to summer and back to winter again." As the interview was happening, the 20-track album became available for streaming on Apple Musiic and purchase on iTunes, so naturally, fans couldn't wait to hear it.

With heavy R&B influence (a signature style Drake has crafted), vicious one-liners and features from the likes of Rihanna, Future, Pimp C, Drake's Views trended worldwide on social media late into the night and still has the hip-hop world talking today. In this case, the hype of the album paid off with platinum sale trajectories and downloads through the roof.

And while fans are giving the LP mixed reviews so far, many listeners thought it was necessary to make memes out of the new album and its artwork. We all know the Internet is a fickle place. Fans used lyrical excerpts to take shots at Drake's well-known adversary, Philly rapper Meek Mill as well as cracked jokes on the Toronto rhymer's over-the-top album artwork.
