Drake was a little tardy for the party over the weekend — he was three hours late for his concert performance at the Bing Bar in Park City, Utah on Saturday (Jan. 21). The Canadian rapper-crooner was the headliner for the Microsoft-sponsored late-night event during the Sundance Film Festival.

According to the Huffington Post, Drizzy had a good excuse for being late — a snowstorm blanketed Utah, which made it quite difficult for air travel. “I almost lost my life 6 times getting here,” he told the impatient crowd once he finally arrived. “My flight was delayed 6 hrs. Some of the curviest roads I’ve ever been on.”

Even more shocking, Drake reportedly arrived in snowed-out Utah with no sweater, although he did have a parka on. Nevertheless, Drake warmed the audience up with a hot performance of hits from his ‘Take Care’ album. In lieu of his tardiness, he also bought a round of drinks for concertgoers that included celebs like comedian Aziz Ansari, actor Anthony Mackie and ‘SNL’ alums Chris Kattan and Will Forte.

After the show, Drake was spotted wearing a blue pullover sweater as he chatted with legendary producer Quincy Jones. Cool Kids rapper Sir Michael Rocks snapped a photo of the two men chopping it at the bar. We are quite sure Drizzy was soaking up every sagely advice the “Q” man was giving him.

Hopefully, Drake won’t be tardy for any dates on his Club Paradise Tour next month. The North American/European trek kicks off on Valentine’s Day in Miami and concludes on April 25 in Nottingham, England.
