Drake traveled back in time to the 1970's for his latest acting role. The Toronto emcee was spotted in New York over the weekend on the set of the comedy movie, 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues.'

The New York Daily News posted photos of Drizzy looking like a cool soul brother from the '70s. The rapper was wearing a leather Members Only jacket, vintage T-shirt and acid-wash jeans with a huge afro and pork-chop sideburns. There's no word on what Drake's role is in the flick but we can dig it.

The OVO leader joins fellow rapper Kanye West in the 'Anchorman' sequel, which also stars Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate. Yeezy was recently in Atlanta shooting his scenes in the movie.

Drake went on Instagram to share his fun day on the 'Anchorman' set with his fans. "Me and one of my heroes Judd Apatow," he wrote under a photo featuring him and the movie's producer.

'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' will arrive in theaters Dec. 20.

Meanwhile, Drake was also in the studio with the hip-hop king himself, Jay-Z. Famed photographer and A&R expert Lenny S. posted a photo of Hov and Drizzy plotting to take over the world.

We also have to mention Jay's Bourg Eoisie sweatshirt. We don't think he's that uppity. Confident and proud, but not uppity.

It's unclear what these two superstar rappers were working on in the studio, but it must be big.

"Warning: Please be very afraid of the music we're working on. OVO x ROCNATION," wrote Lenny S.
