This morning’s “Battle of the Headliners” is between two legendary artists. Donny Hathaway is a native of Chicago, who was raised in St. Louis who committed suicide in 1979 at the age of 33.

His competitor is also a native of Chicago, who was a former member of the Impressions from 1957-70. Paralyzed from the chest down when a stage lighting tower fell on him before a concert on August 13, 1990. He joined the ancestors on December 26, 1999.
