Does Inappropriate Police Conduct Seems To Be Rising?

Are we all of a sudden living in a POLICE STATE?

Nationwide, there seems to be a vast amount of inappropriate police conduct.  We've all heard the "ABOVE THE LAW" philosophy applied to police officers, but that entire discussion always encompassed only a few "DIRTY COPS"...but NOW it seems to be WIDESPREAD!!!

Does the George Zimmerman / Trayvon incident have anything to do with the current mentality of the police? What are your thoughts regarding this topic?
