Just in time for the holiday season, DMX has finally gifted his fans with a cover of “Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer."

As part of Spotify’s Singles Holiday playlist, X’s song features all of his signature ad-libs that he used when he performed it during a radio interview for Power 105.1 back in 2012 (watch the video below).

Producer Divine Bars, who has collaborated with X in the past, created the gleeful beat, which has all of the hallmarks of being a yuletide classic for years to come.

The original version of the song, which was called “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” was written by Johnny Marks in 1949 and became a chart-topping hit when Gene Autry covered the song during Christmas 1949. The yuletide ditty went on to sell over 90 million copies after appearing on various singles, albums and holiday compilations.

Artists from Ella Fitzgerald to Destiny's Child to the Temptations have covered the holiday tune.
