The Revolt Music Conference kicked off in South Beach on Thursday (Oct. 13) at the Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel with Mayor of Miami Beach Philip Levine naming the day Sean Diddy Combs Day. The Conference is in its third year, though the honor surely marks the occasion as special, with local station WSVN 7 on hand, speaking to Diddy.

“I was really hoping it would be this,” he said of the opening event which included a performance by Kent Jones. “I was hoping that it would be a platform for new, young and up-and-coming artists and executives and creatives.” Diddy posted the above photo to Instagram from the ceremony, writing, "Thank you to Mayor Levine for making October 13th Sean 'Diddy' Combs day in Miami!!! #RMC2016 is where it's at this weekend!!" Levine as well announced the honor via a tweet included below.

Making the event even greater, DJ Khaled was granted a key to the city of Miami Beach, adding to his growing collection within Miami-Dade County. “I love Miami,” Khaled said. “To get a key to the city — Miami Beach — You know, I already have a key to Miami. So, it’s just more keys! Each key leads to the next key.” In late October of last year, Khaled was presented with a key to the city of Miami by mayor Tomas Pedro Regalado.

Congratulations extended to both artists who surely know how to celebrate success right.
