Diddy really loves his son Justin Combs. So much so that he’s ready to fight for him no matter what. The rap mogul was arrested on Monday afternoon (June 22) after he got into a fight with a football coach at UCLA over his 21-year-old son.

According to TMZ Sports, Diddy was on the sideline watching as Justin, who is a defensive back on the UCLA Bruins football team, was performing his workouts during a strength and conditioning session at the athletic facility.

A source told the gossip website that an assistant coach started screaming at Justin on the field and was riding him so hard that Diddy had to step in. The 45-year-old music executive reportedly confronted strength coach Sal Alosi at his office and allegedly yoked him up. Campus security was eventually called and the Bad Boy Records founder was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The weapon: a kettlebell.

Per UCLA (via SB Nation):

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA's Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell [a weighted piece of exercise equipment, similar to a dumbbell]. No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening."

We can’t be mad at Diddy for being an over-protective dad, but it looks like his actions are going to cost him some serious jail time.
