Desiigner Gets Gun, Intent to Sell Charges Dropped Following Recent Arrest
Desiigner is out and crunker than ever. The BK MC recently posted a video to Instagram (somewhat) addressing his arrests (below).
XXL Freshman Desiigner has found himself in hot water after being arrested on various drug and gun charges on Thursday (Sept. 8). The rapper's legal woes just got a little bit lighter after an NYC district attorney dropped the felony gun allegations that had been levied against the G.O.O.D. Music MC, as well as the intent to sell charge, reports TMZ.
As previously reported, the whole situation seemed to be sparked by a road rage incident where someone alleged the rapper pointed a gun at them following a shouting match from their vehicles.
Cops pulled over the SUV the "Panda" rapper was riding in and discovered a large quantity of loose pills, with the celebrity news site reporting that police found Oxycontin and other drugs. Desiigner and four others were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell, both of which are felonies. The rapper was also charged with felony criminal possession of a loaded weapon and menacing.
The D.A. has since rescinded the gun and intent to sell charges, which still leaves the rapper facing some a few serious crimes.
He is being arraigned today (Sept. 10).
The Brooklyn rapper is enjoying lots of success, most recently off his "Timmy Turner" track. The last thing he should want is to get caught up in the legal system right before he gets a chance to fully shine. Ask Bobby Shmurda.
