Of course the Commodores were well known for their signature sound with Lionel Richie out front on vocals and the same can be said for ConFunkShun with Michael Cooper doing the lead.

As we all know Lionel became even bigger after his departure from the group. But the same cannot be said for Michael Cooper, his solo career was not as rewarding as was Lionel.

By the way, the Commodores blew ConFunkShun completely out of the water!
