Community: Parents and Teens get Details on the 2017 Seminar Conference
The "2017 Seminar Conference" will host 200 high school students from Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse. We will train them for 2-full-days of life-skills pertaining to workforce and college survival! Get the details here!
In the wake of Governor Cuomo's tuition free Excelsior Scholarship, the push for Immigrant, Refugee, and teens living in poverty to pursue a free college education will be at an all time high. However despite tuition wavers, we know navigating through the social, emotional, and new found autonomy that comes with college life will still be a burden to this generation of first generation college students. As a result, studies show they may still drop out of college.
The Conference has been sponsored by 7-Eleven Minority Franchise Department, they will be flying into Buffalo to speak to the youth about entrepreneurship.
