The Universal School in Buffalo has been wanting to build a Community Playground behind it's building for awhile now and had already received $65,000 from the Buffalo Community to do so, according to News Reports.  Now the KIND Foundation has awarded the school an additional $10,000 so the school can move forward with their aspirations.

The Universal School applied for the KIND Foundation grant and competed against other projects throughout the U.S. for the money, according to News Reports.  The Universal School won then grant monies after, according to News Reports, more than 25,000 people voted for the Universal School to get the money.

According to News Reports, this is what The KIND Foundation Director, Dana Rosenberg, had to say:

“The KIND Foundation is excited to announce Universal School as this month’s KIND Causes grant recipient.  Universal School is committed to ensuring that children have a safe space to play, learn and connect with one another.  Each month, our community determines the KIND Causes grant recipient by committing to a kind act in their own life. It is our belief that Universal School was this month’s winner given that each of us can relate to the importance of creating an environment for kids to be creative, active and healthy.”
