As we celebrate the release of "Rapper's Delight" 35 years ago, let us recognize how Hip Hop brings people together. In this rare footage we see rappers Eminem & Proof freestyle for 4 minutes of excellence.

Proof, who's character was portrayed as "Future" in the movie 8 Mile, connected with Eminem through a mutual love of hip hop. As the Emcee of the rap battles at St. Andrews aka The Shelter Proof got Eminem his first shot at being respected in Detroit's rap community and stayed by Em's side as he became the International Superstar he is today.

Proof was murdered at an after hours bar in Detroit on April 11th 2006. Rest in Peace my friend!!
