Apparently the rumors that have been swirling around for quite a while now are false.  It seems that Western New York will NOT be getting a Chick-fIl-A restaurant. We may have been victim of an internet hoax.

According to the the restaurant chain known for its famous chicken sandwiches:

while it’s always evaluating new markets, Buffalo Niagara isn’t on the books yet. But it’s also not off the table.

Currently featured on the Chick-fil-A website is a letter from a superfan in Lewiston titled “Please come to Buffalo.” The fan said the first thing they do when they travel for work is search for the closest Chick-fil-A. She commended the service and food and said she regularly makes the trip to Erie, which has the closest location to Buffalo.

Many Western New Yorkers are actually pleased that they may not do business here as the franchisees insist that employees abide by a host of rules, including church involvement along with going through a long vetting process to get hired. They have made national headlines by being critical of same-sex marriage customers.

Would you patronized a Chick-fil-A restaurant if they build here? I'm unsure, I love their chicken but do not like seeing any business discriminate.
