Despite all the bad news you hear about young people and gangs in Chicago... here's a story that will warm your heart.

In 1999 there was an "Urban Initiative" Program set up in Chicago to help Little League Baseball teams in Chicago be better equipped to possibly make it to the Little League World Series on day.  Well not since 2002, when a team from Harlem made it, has there been an "Urban" team that's made it.  Today changed all of that as, the Jackie Robinson West Team, out of Chicago, defeated Las Vegas Mountain Ridge 7-5 to move onto the LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES FINALS!!!!!
