At a recent event, Chance made an announcement focusing on two initiatives he’s very passionate about, mental health and supporting Public Schools in Chicago.

At his Social Works event, Chance said:

“With the help of SocialWorks, we want to change the way that mental health resources are being accessed by you.” Shortly after, he made the announcement of his $1 million pledge to mental health services!

In terms of the disbursement of the million dollar donation, a rep from Social Works confirmed the non-profit will be pledging $100K to six different mental health organizations in Cook County. The initiative is called “My State of Mind.”

This isn’t the first time Chance is putting on for his city of Chicago. He’s worked with Public schools in the pass to get more funding for young children. With a daughter of his own Chance has made it his mission to do all he can for Chicago youth and schooling in his area.
