June 30, 2011 Most of us have experienced flight delays, but probably none like this! Flights were temporarily halted at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport on Wednesday morning after about 150 turtles ambled onto a runway. JetBlue first tweeted news of the slowdown: "JFK is experiencing delays as the airport clears turtles off the runway."
Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico said flights were delayed only about 15 minutes.
“We had about 150 turtles coming out of the bay this morning," said Marsico. "They crossed the runway to a sandy beach area to lay their eggs."
With all the talk of how broke the US government is, you might be surprised to learn there’s over a billion one-dollar coins sitting unused in Federal Reserve vaults. And the US Mint is still cranking them out.

For the past 80 years, clocks plugged in to an electrical source have kept time based on the rate of the electrical current that powers them. If this current doesn’t keep its usual rate, clocks run a bit fast or slow. Right now, power companies now take steps to ensure the frequency of the current – and the time – is as precise as possible.

As you will see in the video a person was pulled over for an unknown traffic offense. This woman was on her own property filming what was going on. When the officer noticed her there he asked her to please go inside her house. The woman refuses after multiple request to do so.

Scientists believe that beluga wales strongly dislike the feeling of synthetic materials and wanted to experiment with going au natural instead of donning the traditional diving suit.
