Well, where do I begin, there is a lot in the news and as always there is a lot going on in our community and the world. Of course over the last couple of days one of the most highly trending topics on the internet was the story about the young man chewing off the face of the homeless guy down in Miami Florida—what is this world coming too!
If you have a Facebook page, you're likely to have seen some pretty racy pictures posted from time to time and have wondered why some people expose themselves the way they do on this Social Networking platform.
A recent article in the Buffalo News reported that nearly half of all Buffalo-Niagara residents consider themselves unclaimed by an organized religion. Not saying that they are atheist, but simply that they do not identify themselves as a follower of a specific religion. This trend is not only in Buffalo, but on a national scale it was reported that "As much as 16 percent of the U.S. population—about 34 million people—professed no religious affiliation in 2009 according to the American Religious Identification Survey study. That number is up from 29 million in 2001 and from 14 million in 1990".
In the early twentieth century the term The Talented Tenth was assigned to a leadership class of descendants of Africans in America. W.E.B. Du Bois made the term popular when he wrote about it in an essay that he titled “The Talented Tenth” and published in 1903.

First the Patriot Act, then the NDAA and now Police have unmaned flying drones that can see through the wall of your home and kill you while your sleeping.
The Only Night Show That Matters yesterday we touched on Solutions about Black On Black Crime in the community. Everyone always talks about the problems but few people ever comment on possible solutions
OVERVIEW:
While we all agree that the murder of Trayvon Martin is a tragedy, there are other equally tragic murders being committed almost daily in our city!
This Week's Know Thyself Community Wednesday Conversation we touched on Domestic Road Rage, Guns on the Streets of Buffalo, Thinking before we act out on emotions and George Zimmerman's Arrest.
There was so much community response to these issues, we did not have time to play all the callers. All of the information shared is important as we take that next step in uplifting awareness. Hear the rest of the conversation inside...
